Virginia Tech Board Votes to Comply with Trump's Executive Order on Diversity Initiatives

Virginia Tech is now the latest institution in Virginia to align with the directives of President Donald Trump's executive orders that aim to dismantle Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in educational institutions across the state. On Tuesday, the board voted 12-2 in favor of scrutinizing and potentially scrapping DEI efforts, including the elimination of the Office of Inclusive Strategy and Excellence.
