Toyota has unveiled the final details and a series of captivating images for the last iterations of the GR Supra in the European market, specifically the A90 Final Edition and the Lightweight Evo. As production nears its conclusion, this iconic vehicle is set to make a lasting impression on car enthusiasts and collectors alike.

The GR Supra’s departure from the automotive landscape is marked by an exclusive run, limiting production to just 300 units across Japan and Europe. This final chapter promises more power, enhanced handling, and the liberal use of carbon fiber, transcending previous iterations of the model. The A90 Final Edition is particularly noteworthy, featuring significant power upgrades, a refined suspension system, and superior braking performance.

Power Upgrade

The A90 Final Edition showcases an enhanced version of the BMW Z4’s turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine. Now generating 429 horsepower (320 kW / 435 PS) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque, this model boasts a substantial 94 horsepower increase over the standard GR Supra. The performance enhancements stem from a revised air intake, a low-back-pressure catalyst, and optimized engine controls. Additionally, improvements such as a baffle plate in the oil pan promote better oil distribution during aggressive driving scenarios, paired with enhanced cooling features and an advanced active differential.

Chassis That Races

This powerhouse is coupled with a chassis setup inspired by Toyota Gazoo Racing, including a KW suspension system with adjustable dampening, reinforcing the car’s racing pedigree. The suspension also benefits from strengthened components, alongside an increased camber angle for peak handling performance. The A90 Final Edition rides on lightweight 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, ensuring optimal grip and responsiveness. Brembo brakes, outfitted with high-friction pads, promise reliability during intense driving.

The visual identity of the A90 Final Edition is equally striking, featuring a carbon fiber swan neck rear spoiler, a vented hood, and a redesigned splitter with canards, all contributing to aerodynamic efficiency. While retaining the turbocharged 3.0-liter engine with 382 horsepower (285 kW / 387 PS) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, this model continues to offer drivers the choice between six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions.

North American Offering

For American enthusiasts, the upcoming 2026 GR Supra will spotlight a Final Edition exclusive to the market, though it lacks the power enhancements characteristic of the A90. Instead, it will feature a refined chassis and added aerodynamic components, catering to those who seek a sportier driving experience.

Availability and Future Plans

Orders for the full GR Supra lineup have begun in Europe, with Japan following suit. However, the lottery for the coveted A90 Final Edition has already closed. Despite the end of A90 production, Toyota remains enthusiastic about continuing the Supra’s legacy in motorsport, and has teased plans for a new generation in the pipeline.
