Carnival Cruise Line Announces Mardi Gras Short Cruises Starting Spring 2027

Carnival is expanding its offerings with short cruises available from all U.S. and Australian homeports, barring Baltimore and Seattle. Duffy reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the crucial secondary markets, noting that 50% of the U.S. population is positioned within a five-hour drive from a Carnival cruise, thus making vacations accessible to a broad audience. Additionally, starting in spring 2027, Carnival will resume year-round operations in Mobile, Alabama, a move that underscores its dedication to maintaining service in regional markets. This is a noteworthy return as Carnival previously operated year-round from Mobile but currently operates seasonally there. The company is also exploring the introduction of a larger Conquest class ship in Baltimore to accommodate about 1,000 more passengers than the currently deployed Carnival Pride.
